A workshop on smart farming is set to take place at Elveden, near Thetford, on May 10.

The Agri-Tech East event, entitled Farm Smarter, Not Harder – Open Innovation for Smart Farming, will look at advances in remote sensing, drone technology, precision farming and image processing with pitches from a range of companies working in smart farming.

The workshop, at Elveden Village Hall IP24 3TQ from 10am, features ready-to-use farming technologies with discussion on how to make them a commercial reality.

Agri-Tech East is looking at how to overcome barriers to adoption of smart farming, finding the untapped opportunities, and ensuring the content of discussions about these new technologies get to the heart of policy-making.
