Stowmarket farmer Brian Barker is set to reveal the soil science behind his underwear-burying antics, which were given the Twitter hashtag #soilmyundies, as part of a series of debates and updates hosted by AHDB Cereals & Oilseeds at Cereals 2017 on June 14/15.

Soil health and Brexit will be two key issues at the talks which will take place at the farm levy payers’ group stand (919).

The #soilmyundies debate will take place at 11.30am both days. Visitors will get a flavour of what it’s like to be part of the AHDB Monitor Farm network as AHDB Monitor Farmers Brian, from Westhorpe, and Russell McKenzie, explain how burying pants helped them reveal the impact of management practices on soil health. The debates and updates, repeated on both days, have been included as part of AHDB’s commitment to accelerate innovation and productivity growth through coordinated knowledge exchange.
