A RENOWNED Suffolk brewery is to launch a special beer to celebrate the marriage of Prince William and Kate Middleton.
Adnams’ amber gold-coloured brew, which has a heath honey aroma, will be available in cask from April 4, ahead of the couple’s marriage on April 29.
Fergus Fitzgerald, head brewer, said: “Adnams has a history of brewing special beers to mark royal weddings, three generations of them, so we couldn’t let this one pass without opening up the recipe book again.
“The new recipe for our latest royal wedding ale celebrates a new generation of royals and its classic but vibrant design supports this too.
“The tradition of honey beers to celebrate weddings is said to have given us the term ‘honeymoon’, whether there is any truth in this or not, we’re not sure, it seemed like a good excuse to us!”
