Suffolk Agricultural Association (SAA) executive director Chris Bushby steps down from his post today, after 20 years in the role.
“I have had a wonderful time,” he said. “I have found my time working for the association to be a great privilege and, during this time, have made many dear friends who have enriched my life. I know that I leave the association in good heart and I very much look forward to attending the Suffolk Show next year as a punter.”
SAA chairman Robert Rous will take on executive responsibility, supported in show matters by show director Bill Baker and in finance by treasurer Loudon Greenlees, while the SAA’s new trustee board reviews the requirements for Chris’ successor. The SAA expects to appoint a recruitment agency to assist in the process in the near future.
