NEW conferencing facilities installed at an enterprise centre in Ipswich have helped boost its occupancy rate to more than 90%.

The Brightspace Enterprise Centre, which is owned by charity Suffolk ACRE, has recently installed a professional conferencing facility for all its meeting rooms to enable groups of up to 15 or so people to conference with individuals at single or multiple external locations.

Operations director Roger Turkington said: “It gives meeting room users extra value and flexibility and brings Brightspace to the forefront of using technology to reduce costs and lower the environmental impact of doing business in Suffolk. It also enables us to be flexible and give customers what they want.”

He added: “One of the first users of the new service has been Serco, who came to us not only for our location and their strong desire to support a local Suffolk charity, but for the good facilities we offer.”

Serco’s director of community services Sharon Colclough said: “We are delighted to be at Brightspace; we’ve found them to be flexible and responsive. It is in a very good location, and close to the organisations we are working with, NHS Suffolk and Suffolk Community Health, and Serco are pleased to be able to work with organisations such as Suffolk ACRE, to give something back to the community.”
