The Suffolk Business Awards 2022 are now open for entries and the Director of the Year award is open to directors at any stage in their career, from entrepreneurs to industry stalwarts.

Entrants will be expected to have made a demonstrable contribution to their company’s business strategy and growth, backed up by evidence of clear leadership and resilience.

“These awards remind us that Suffolk is a great place to live, work and do business,” said Emma Proctor King, head of communications at The Churchmanor Estates Company Plc, and judge for the Director of the Year category.

“Whether you are the leader of a start-up, or the director of an established corporation, this award will set you apart from the rest of the pack.”

Ms Proctor King acknowledged that the past few years have been a “turbulent and changing” time for businesses, and said it is important to acknowledge the achievements of those leaders who have navigated their companies through the storms of both Covid and Brexit.

“This award is all about the personality, drive, passion and proven results of one individual working to create success for their business,” she said.

“Role models present powerful messages and values and aspirations. They contribute fresh and innovative ideas, and make a positive impact on the economy, and in turn, attract new talent and competition to the area.”

“I will be looking for the person who has gone above and beyond for their company, and who can demonstrate a significant impact to their business,” she added.
