BUSINESSES in Suffolk are more positive than they were a year ago, according to a survey of delegates at an event run by recruitment firm Hays at Ipswich Town Football Club.
More than 60 finance and business professionals attended the event, with a poll showing that 58% plan to increase staff numbers within the next 12 months, compared with 50% at a similar event last year, while 81% cent feel their organisation has seen positive growth in business activity within the last six months, compared to just 64% a year ago.
In addition, 73% felt supported by their bank, up from 61% a year ago.
Hays Senior Finance regional director Karen Young, said: “It is great that we were able to provide a forum for Suffolk’s business leaders to discuss topical issues, best practice, ideas and knowledge.”
