A Suffolk-based dog care business was among the winners at the 2015 National Pet Industry Federation Awards.

Suffolk Canine Creche, from Martlesham, was named Pet Service Business of the Year at the event, held at the Crown Plaza hotel in Liverpool.

Besides its “creche” day care service, the business offers overnight “hotel” accommodation, “Dog-Cademy” training classes and a new grooming facility, “Fluff the Ruff”.

Candace Rose, owner of Suffolk Canine Crene, said of the award: “It is a fantastic accolade to be recognised by the industry and to be able to spearhead change.

“My team are committed to customer service and I am so proud of them; it is a fitting recognition for their hard work and a wonderful end to this year. We will all be celebrating our achievements at the employee Christmas event.”

Suffolk Canine Creche is a member of the Future50 community of high growth potential businesses in Suffolk and Norfolk, run by media group Archant – whose titles include the EADT – with support from the Government’s Regional Growth Fund and from sponsors Nwes, Birketts, Lovewell Blake, Barclays and the University of East Anglia.

The company was also a runner-up in the Small Business category of this year’s EADT Business Awards.
