DELEGATES at a business breakfast yesterday were urged to take full advantage of the opportunities posed by the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
The East Anglian Daily Times teamed up with Suffolk County Council, Suffolk Chamber of Commerce, the East of England Development Agency (EEDA) and Lloyds TSB to stage the free event which gave local businesses some timely advice and guidance on benefiting fully from the greatest show on earth.
Speakers David Coulson, senior executive for London 2012 business support at EEDA, and Steve Elsom, area director of Lloyds TSB Commercial, helped guide delegates on where these opportunities are and how to tender for them.
The speakers also covered issues such as forward planning, staffing levels, transport plans, technology and security requirements and what businesses could do to mark the 2012 games for staff and customers.
