Suffolk: Ensors backs new Suffolk 100 community support initiative
ENSORS Chartered Accountants is supporting Suffolk 100, a new initiative from the Suffolk Foundation designed to help local charities and community groups in supporting some of the county’s most vulnerable communities.
The accountancy firm has committed to making an annual donation of 1,000 for the next three years, with half being used immediately to support local needs and the other half being invested to generate income to fund grants on an ongoing basis.
The endowment donation will benefit from a further 250 in match funding from the Cabinet Office under the Community First programme.
Danny Clifford, managing partner at Ensors, said: “We are very pleased to be working with the Suffolk Foundation to improve the lives of the vulnerable in our society.
“It is all too easy to forget, as we go about our busy lives, that there are many people a lot worse off than us – sometimes living just round the corner. It only takes a small bit from everyone to make their lives significantly better.”
Judi Newman, the Suffolk Foundation’s development director, added: “We are seeking 100 community leaders to join forces to support the unsung heroes of Suffolk’s charitable sector and we are delighted that Ensors is leading the way.”
