THREE pairs of Suffolk Pigs trotted off with a clutch of rosettes from the Royal Welsh Winter Fair last week.
The Dingley Dell pigs, based at Campsea Ashe, near Woodbridge, were awarded prizes including first for best pair of cutters and first and second for single cutters. They also won prizes for baconers and porkers totalling eight rosettes overall.
Chris Beck, who showed the pigs, selected them specifically for their weight and conformation.
“I am absolutely delighted that Dingley Dell Pork have done so well at what is regarded as the best fat stock show in Europe,” he said. “I’ve been showing pigs for six years now and feel it is a great way to gain recognition for your stock.”
It’s the latest in a series of accolades for Dingley Dell Pork, which sells to the Dorchester, Savoy and Ramsey Group restaurants and scooped prizes at the English Winter Fair last week.
