The Ladies in Property Suffolk group has organised a seventh networking event, on Tuesday May 8, 2018 at Ipswich Town Hall from 5.30pm to 7.30pm.

The LiPS group was founded three years ago, to provide a networking space for women in the construction industry and to give them the opportunity to form strategic business relationships and friendships.

The first event was held in June 2015 and it has grown year on year, with more than 60 women attending. It continues to provide a unique networking opportunity to women in land, property, construction and facilities management who are welcome to attend the free event.

The evening offers the chance to hear from two speakers, opportunities to network and tour the Town Hall, which is celebrating its 150th anniversary.

Andrew Beale, the Town Sergeant will follow up his presentation by conducting a tour through the iconic building.

Organiser Jac Clark said: “We’re absolutely delighted to be holding our seventh event at the Ipswich Town Hall which is celebrating such a significant milestone this year.

“In light of recent months, it has become extremely important that women in an industry dominated by men be given the opportunity to network and unite with other women in this industry. We are thrilled that we are so fortunate to be able to provide this to them and that women feel benefited by attending our events.”

LiPS also welcomes presenter and co-founder of My Confidence Matters, Sophie Edmond.

“We want to help women become more confident at work,” explained Sophie. “Our mission is to inspire women to become leaders in their field, to give women entrepreneurs more confidence, to enable women to speak up and develop the self-belief to have more of an impact at work.”

The event is free to attend and is being sponsored by Boot Construction, Concertus Design and Property Consultants, Bauder Limited, Prominent and Ipswich Borough Council.
