Doug Betts, founder of Sure Betts HR Solutions, believes that “people are the most important part of a business,” and that’s why, when he works with a company, he aims to get to know the business, build a trusting relationship and work with owners to achieve long-lasting results. 

Sure Betts’ services cover a range of HR activities from recruitment, training, policies and employment contracts and employment law advice to more specialist services such as 1:1 advice and coaching for newly promoted line managers, who are often technically skilled but lack experience in handling difficult situations.

The past two years have seen an increased demand for HR services, leading Doug to offer remote and in-person support. 

“Success for me is about seeing that I’m helping people, making a difference and enjoying the work,” said Doug.

“Even if it’s something I don’t enjoy, like having to support the exit of an employee, I will get satisfaction if I can help it be done in a way that doesn’t put a business at risk from a tribunal claim.”
