Outdoor activities specialist The North Face is to open a new store at the Freeport Braintree retail complex.

The store, which is due to open on September 25, will offer products for activities ranging from from trail running to mountaineering and from hiking to a special kid’s collection.

Jag Sarmotta, district manager for the UK and Ireland at The North Face, said Freeport Braintree was an ideal location for the brand, adding: “Situated in the heart of Essex, Freeport Braintree is the savvy shopper’s paradise.

“Over 80 stores showcase some of the most desirable fashion and lifestyle brands. Conveniently served by its own train station, less than one hour away from central London and within close proximity to the M11 and Stansted Airport, Freeport Braintree can be easily reached by all.”

Centre manager Josef O’Sullivan added: “The North Face is an incredibly popular label – not just with people who enjoy the Great British Outdoors, but it is equally stylish on the High Street as it is on the ski slopes.

“Famed for its quality material and rugged construction The North Face has been building the best gear for outdoors since 1966, and we are delighted to welcome them to Freeport Braintree.”
