THREE companies have joined forces to provide a “one-stop human resources shop” for companies in East Anglia.

Ryan Insurance, of Ipswich, Woodbridge-based health, safety and training consultancy Safetyboss and Ipswich-based Quantrills employment law solicitors have formed Ryan's Strategic Alliance, which is set to compete with bigger firms to offer a comprehensive range of professional advice on areas ranging from health and safety to legal issues.

The commercial alliance was launched last week at an event held at The Courtyard By Marriott hotel in Ipswich.

The three firms plan to combine their understanding of internal and external factors, and the potential effects they can have on an organisation's human resources.

The alliance's aim is to compete with larger firms in the market, which it believes many small to medium-sized businesses feel obliged, but are often reluctant, to employ.

It says it will offer the same professional, high quality advice and consultation, at a cost-effective price more accessible to the East Anglian market.

Speaking at the launch, Dick Calvesbert, membership manager for Suffolk Chamber of Commerce, said: “We welcome the amalgamation of services of these three well-respected companies for the benefit of like-minded, progressive organisations across the region.

“The fact that they have identified this need in the market to provide cost-effective, one-stop 'human resources' shop for companies of all sizes in East Anglia is a prime example of the forward-thinking approach adopted by many Suffolk Chamber members.”

Marian Randell, managing director of Safetyboss Ltd and a finalist in the East of England Businesswoman of the Year Awards 2005, said the new alliance would help organisations get to grips with regulatory, legal, health and safety and insurance issues – all areas commonly falling under the umbrella of human resources.

“Safetyboss directly employ the most qualified safety professionals to help companies find cost-effective and practical solutions to health and safety problems,” she said.

Tim Ryan, managing director at Ryan Insurance, said: “We're here to help, and each company in the alliance shares the same values. As a truly independent company, Ryan Insurance doesn't work for any one insurer, we work for the individual customer.

“That means we use our experience and expertise to find a policy that exactly suits our customers' individual needs and budget.”

Simon Quantrill, principal of Quantrills solicitors, added: “The commercial world is turning faster than ever and there's no substitute for easy access to reliable, up-to-the-minute advice and support.

“It's not just about handling issues efficiently – it's about forward-thinking to minimise future problems. Whether you need help with an individual problem or a comprehensive package of support, we listen to you and deliver solutions tailored to your needs.”

The alliance is running its first legislative and regulatory update seminar on budget day – March 22 – at The Courtyard By Marriott hotel. If you are interested in attending, call 0800 298 0609 for more details, or visit www.ryan-group.co.uk.
