Shaken Udder, based at Tolleshut Major, near Maldon, said new product development, brand collaborations, packaging updates and its biggest on-pack promotion to date, helped lift sales.

A successful collaboration with Rodda’s Clotted Cream in April saw the launch of its Strawberries & Clotted Cream Milkshake into Waitrose and quickly became one of the brand’s top three best sellers. Since the launch, Waitrose has also increased listings of the product by 42% due to customer demand. In June, Shaken Udder relaunched Uber Udder, its large-format milkshakes, in 750ml bottles, achieving a 100% uplift.

“This year has been a really successful year, and we’ve still got three months to go,” said co-founder Andy Howie. “2017 has been tremendously busy with new launches and rebrands coming thick and fast.”
