THE Mill, a key element in the regeneration of the Ipwich Waterfront, has taken top honours in the Royal Instition of Chartered Surveyors’ 2010 East of England Awards.

The mixed-use development received the Reneration Award and then beat off competition from other category winners to claim the overall Project of the Year title.

There was further success for Suffolk, with Snape Maltings being named joint winner of the Building Conservation award and the Jerwood Dancehouse, within The Mill complex, being commended in the Community Benefity category.

For further coverage of the awards see the BusinessEast supplement in next Tuesday’s EADT.
