Coach tours and travel firm Galloway has marked its 50th anniversary year by achieving a triple nomination in the annual National Coach Tourism Awards.

Mendlesham-based Galloway is in contention for the Day Excursion Programme, Coach Tour Operator Brochure and Large Fleet Coach Tour Operator awards.

David Cattermole, managing director, said: “This is a reflection of the hard work and effort the team here at Galloway undertake on a daily basis and I’m delighted we have been nominated in such a competitive industry.

“All of those nominated are great companies and to be even included in the short list is a great achievement.”

Bernie Miles, commercial director, added: “It’s been 50 years since Galloway started offering tours to the Continent. It is a fitting tribute to all those who have worked for the company over those years to receive this recognition.”

The awards, hosted by industry publication Coach Monthly, will be announced tomorrow at a ceremony taking place at the West Midlands Safari Park in Bewdley, Worcestershire.
