If you go down to the woods today, you’re sure of a big surprise.
There might not be a teddy bears’ picnic in the forest – but you might find Heidi Franklin and Denise Winder running one of their events among the trees.
The two former Suffolk teachers have launched Wild Play in Bury St Edmunds, offering a combination of outdoor learning and forest school.
Ms Franklin said: “We work with groups of people of all ages to enable them to wonder, investigate, learn and discover the great outdoors. We provide time to play, relax, reflect and just be.
“Spending time in the woodland, away from technology and getting back to playing real games, cooking on a campfire, chilling out in a hammock, learning a new skill or just appreciating nature.
“We have been extremely busy all through summer, with our explorers holiday club and birthday events.”
Wild Play will also launch corporate events at the Menta business show on October 2 at the Apex Centre.
“Employers have a duty of care for the wellbeing of their employees, but also for management teams to look after themselves too,” she added.
Wild Play events are mainly held at Rougham and Haughley, but they can be anywhere including on a client’s own site.
