Ipswich-based facilities management provider Vertas has started a new contract at the town’s One sixth form college.

Services covered under the “Total Facilities Management” (TFM) deal includes student, staff and visitor catering, plus cleaning, grounds maintenance, concierge and security.

The catering operation involves the company’s new Vive identity, which has been created with young adults in mind and features “street food” style branding.

Ian Surtees, group managing director at Vertas, said: “It is a great opportunity for us to provide total facilities FM services to a building of Suffolk One’s stature; with the eye-catching design inside and out, through to their recent outstanding Ofsted inspection, Suffolk One is fast becoming one of the top education facilities in the county.

“I am extremely proud of the hard work that has gone into making this new contract a success. My team and I are very excited about the rollout of our new catering concept to those at the college; the students and staff being the first to try our new ‘Vive’ catering brand, which was created via a project working group, feedback sessions and working with students at our other partner sites.”

He added: “This contract has enabled us to develop an innovative, creative and forward-focussed provision which will reflect the outstanding title Suffolk One has earned. I am delighted that we can build on and be part of their success.”
