Vitavia Greenhouses, which is based Ipswich, is to sponsor the Suffolk FA Boys’ Under-14 and Girls’ Under-16 Cups this season.

The agreement follows on from Vitavia sponsoring last season’s Suffolk FA Veterans’ Cup.

Vitavia Garden Products Ltd started in 2008 and moved to its current premises in Tuddenham Road three years ago.

Tony Hutchinson, who is a director of Vitavia Garden Products, along with his sons John and Robbie, said: “Although we are wholesalers of greenhouses nationally and have a network of international distributors, we are proud to be based in Suffolk and wish to give something back to the local community. We are delighted to be involved in grassroots football and nurturing the early shoots of talent.”

He added: “We are genuinely seeing more and more young people becoming interested in ‘grow your own’. We have supplied greenhouses to a lot of schools to help generate and develop interest.

“Television chefs are encouraging people to grow their own and greenhouses offer a way of producing early vegetables and fruit.”

The company is part of Vitavia Europe, which has offices in Denmark and Germany and exports all over the world.
