Cutter Work Wear from Bealings, near Woodbridge, has sold national distribution rights for its range of gloves to Rodo Ltd, a supplier of workwear and protective equipment to national retailers based in Manchester.
Cutter gloves were developed by a team of Suffolk tree surgeons, who were unable to find gloves that met the exacting requirements of their trade, and so set about designing their own.
The company says it has been successfully selling on a regional basis but the new deal will now see its products become available nationally.
Director at Cutter Work Wear, Simon King, said: “We are thrilled to be working with Rodo. It means we are catapulted onto the national stage. With the resource Rodo provides, not only do customers get a better service but we can start to expand the range.”
Cutter’s range was recently showcased at the national gardening exhibition, GLEE, at the NEC Birmingham.
