A Suffolk-based manufacturing firm has been awarded grant funding of £3,500 to upgrade its lighting to LED in the workshop areas.
Injection moulding specialists Roland Plastics in Woodbridge secured the money from the Business Energy Efficiency (BEE) Anglia project following an independent energy audit.
It has been estimated that the energy savings gained by imstalling the new lights will amount to 13.4 CO2e per year, plus cost savings of £2,000. The company says these savings will support future growth within the business, while working to protect the environment.
Sales and marketing director at Roland, Ursula Austin, said: “We continuously strive to improve our cost base. In addition, we are introducing ongoing improvements to be become greener and more environmentally friendly. Thanks to the support by the BEE Anglia project we are able to meet both criteria.”
