More than 80 stationary engines and around 20 pre-1930s tractors will be rolled out at this year’s Woolpit Steam Rally, which takes place on the weekend of June 2 and 3.

The event, at Warren Farm, Wetherden, is the 31st of its kind and is held by permission of R & P Baker.

Among its annual selection of rare and historic tractors will be 70 machines built before 1965 as well as harvesting machinery and 15 full-size steam vehicles including showmans engines, road rollers, lorries and even a steam car.

They will be joined by vintage cars, motorcycles, commercial and military vehicles and more than 50 craft, trade and auto jumble stalls with hot and cold food, licensed bar and ice creams. There will be electric yachts, dodgems and side stalls, Punch & Judy and a full ring programme. Gates open 9am to 5pm, and adult admission is £5 Saturday, £6 Sunday, £2 children.
