ZOE Hodge, an associate within the estates and financial services department at Prettys law firm, has been appointed as student liaison officer for the Suffolk and north Essex branch of Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).

She became a full member of STEP, which promotes education amongst estate planners, in May 2008.

STEP members are specialists in wills, estate administration, trusts, inheritance and related tax planning.

As a student liaison officer, she will be the single point of contact for student members within the branch and support the students in any way she can with their studies.

She is able to advise on how a person can become a student member of STEP and what the requirements are to become full members.

She will also liaise between students and branch members on mentoring, assistance with the course and topics the students would like covered at branch meetings.

“The future of the local branch depends on new members joining so it is important to provide as much support to students as possible and to encourage others to join,” she said.
