Dog lovers and their pooches are being encouraged to take part in the annual Bury Dog Show which is to take place next month.
There’s a host of categories to enter from the most handsome dog to the one with the prettiest eyes, and from the waggiest tail to the thrill of the Dashshund Dash.
It’s being held at Nowton Park, on Sunday, July 15, from 10am to 4pm, with profits from the event going to the My WiSH Charity’s WiSH Upon a Star fund which supports children across West Suffolk Hospital.
There are also craft stalls, pet stalls, food and drink, plus bouncy castles, face painting and activities for the children.
Admission is £5 for adults, £2.50 for children and concessions, and £12 for a family of two adults and up to four children.
The judges are from Moreton Hall Vets and the full list of categories are: most handsome dog; prettiest bitch; prettiest eyes; waggiest tail; best family dog group; dog owner lookalike; best doggy trick; cutest puppy under 18 months old; golden oldie, any dog over seven years old; the dog judges would most like to take home; best young handler aged six to 12-years-old; champion of champions; and Mischief’s Dachshund Dash.
