Cambridge: Explosion leads to shop evacuations

Shoppers were rocked by an underground explosion in Cambridge.

The blast in busy Fitzroy Street happened at around 1pm outside Modelzone on Saturday.

Staff and customers in the store and surrounding shops were evacuated.

The road was closed by firefighters, with police fearing a second explosion. It is believed the explosion may have been caused after work on services was carried out recently.
