Police have issued CCTV footage of two men they want to speak to after a man was attacked in Clacton.

The victim, a man in his 50s, was in Coppins Road when two men approached him and punched him in an unprovoked attack, Essex Police said.

A force spokesman said: “The victim was forced on the floor and had his mobile phone taken.

“Whilst the victim was being held down by one of the men, the second man forced entry into a nearby house and took a number of items from the property.

“The two men then ran off towards the St. Osyth Road and the Cloes Lane junction.”

The incident took place at around 6pm on December 28, 2017.

Officers investigating the robbery and burglary have today released a CCTV image of two men they want to identify and speak to.

Witnesses to the incident or anyone who recognises the men in the CCTV image are urged to call police on 101. Alternatively contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
