A 33-year-old man was left badly bruised with an ear injury after three men began punching and kicking him in an unprovoked attack in Canvey.

The victim was walking across the field leading from Church Parade to Waterside Leisure Centre when three white men, aged between 20 and 25 years old started assaulting him.

The attackers are described as slim to medium build. One was wearing a luminous yellow T-shirt and black tracksuit bottoms and another with a shaven head was wearing a light grey tracksuit.

The men took off in the direction of Central Avenue.
