Car fire spreads to nearby factory

FIREFIGHTERS battled a blaze which started in a car but soon spread to a nearby industrial unit.

FIREFIGHTERS battled a blaze which started in a car but soon spread to a nearby industrial unit.

The fire broke out in Wimbledon Avenue, Brandon, at around 8.30pm last night.

A fire crew from Brandon and one from Thetford were called to the scene of the fire, which had spread to a building used by Double Quick Heating.

Firefighters managed to control the flames before serious damage was done to the building and the area was declared safe at 9.13pm.
