Car park attack victim 'critical'
A CAR park is cordoned off this morning following a serious assault in Newmarket which has left a male in a “critical but stable” condition in hospital and a female has also been left with serious injuries.

A CAR park is cordoned off this morning following a serious assault in Newmarket which has left a male in a “critical but stable” condition in hospital and a female has also been left with serious injuries.
Police were called shortly after 1am today to a car park on Fordham Road in Newmarket, where the couple had been assaulted and suffered serious injuries.
The male was taken to Addenbrookes Hospital in Cambridge where he is described as being in a critical but stable condition. The female was taken to the West Suffolk Hospital in Bury St Edmunds for the treatment of her injuries, where have left her in a serious condition.
Police arrested four people in connection with the incident; a 25-year-old man from Newmarket, a 21-year-old man from Newmarket and two 20-year-old women from Cambridgeshire.
All of them are currently being held in custody at Bury St Edmunds Police Station where they will be questioned later today.
