A POLICEMAN has today said that it was lucky a woman was not in her garden when a car crashed through her wall.

Emergency Services were called at 9.20am today to the corner of Alan Road and Rosehill Road in Ipswich to a crash between a Citroen Zara Picasso and a VW Polo.

Police are still investigating what happened but it is believed that a car collided with another, causing one to veer off the road and through a brick wall.

The owner of the house was shaken after the incident but claimed that at least no-one was there when the incident happened.

The resident who did not want to be named said: “Today is a sad day because we have to put down the dog. I don't care about the wall I'm just glad that no children were in the street at the time.”

Pc Pete Gill said: “No children or pedestrians were on the pavement which was good and the lady who is usually in her garden wasn't there either.

“It looks like the driver of the Citroen Zara Picasso suffered minor injuries and she will be taken to hospital.”
