A Suffolk care home is to welcome the public for an open day of country and western celebrations.

Mills Meadow in Framlingham is taking part in the nationwide Care Home Open Day on Saturday, April 21, with fancy dress, live music from country rock singer Man in the Hat, face painting and a barbecue.

Visitors can also take part in a raffle or lucky dip or sample cakes for a small donation to the home’s Worry Café, which offers mental health support for the local community.

Marie Reeve, home manager at Mills Meadow, said: “Care Home Open Day provides residents and the Care UK team with a fantastic opportunity to welcome the local community in to home. There is already a buzz around the home, as residents prepare for the big day. We hope that the people of Framlingham will join us in making this year’s Care Home Open Day one to remember.”

The event runs 1.30-5.30pm. Call 01728 888 236 for details.
