Detectives are appealing for information after two burglary incidents in Carlton Colville yesterday.

Police were contacted by a householder in Monarch Way at about 9.35pm on May 21, who reported they had been in bed when they heard a thump.

Their partner had gone to investigate and found a patio door had been smashed. The offender had fled.

Police attended and made a search of the area. During the course of this it was discovered another home at Milnes Way had been broken into.

Nothing appears to have been taken from the Monarch Way address but at this stage it is not known if anything was taken from Milnes Way.

Anyone who was in the area around this time last night or has information about who broke in is asked to call Dc John Beales at Lowestoft CID on 101.
