CASH canisters were stolen by men in balaclavas who raided a supermarket cash machine.
Police were called at midnight to the Tesco store in Fordham Road, Newmarket.
Three men wearing dark clothing and balaclavas were seen near the cash machines and then leaving the car park at speed in a dark coloured Audi estate car with no headlights on.
It left along the A142 towards the A14.
Police want to hear from anyone who may have seen the Audi entering Newmarket on Sunday evening or leaving after the incident, or who may have found the canisters discarded from the cash machine.
Anybody with any information should contact police on 01284 774100 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
