CCTV images of a man have been released after a phone was stolen from a restaurant in Edith Cook Way, Ipswich, last month.
The incident occurred at around 2.45pm on Tuesday, July 28.
Whilst in the restaurant a man approached a woman sitting a table and showed her some greeting cards.
She replied that she was not interested and he then lowered the cards towards the table. She again replied ‘no’ and the man left quickly walking towards the door.
The victim then realised that her mobile phone, which had been sitting on the table, was gone.
The offender is described as having a ‘dark or tanned complexion’, between 35 to 40-years-old, approximately 5’8” tall, of a slim build, had short dark coloured hair and was wearing a t-shirt and blue jeans.
If you can help identify the man in the CCTV image, or have any information that may help police with their investigation, contact PC Robert Thorn by calling the 24-hour 101 number quoting reference IE/15/2564.
