Police have today releaseda CCTV image of men they would like to talk to in connection with robberies in Silver End and Witham yesterday.
Officers are continuing to review footage from the Co-op stores, in Broadway and Spa Road, after two men armed with knives threatened staff and stole cash between 9.30pm and 10pm.
The suspects have been described as being white, aged in their late teens and wore dark clothing, including similar puffed style jackets with the hoods up and black trainers with white soles.
They had scarves covering their faces and officers want to speak to anyone who saw anything suspicious at both locations before, during or after the incidents.
Officers also urge anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage between 9pm and 10.30pm to contact Braintree CID on 101 quoting crime references 42/22523/18 or 42/22521/18 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
