A charity bike run is being held to raise money for a Colchester toddler to have medical treatment in America.
Eli Baker, who will turn two next month, is losing his sight due to Nystagmus, a condition which causes constant movement of the eyes.
The family need to raise £22,000 to send Eli to California for treatment which could restore his vision.
So far, just under £13,000 has been raised.
Wendy Marsh and Mick Smith have arranged the bike run, taking place on Saturday and starting at Cafe 33 on Bury Road, Stradishall, and ending at the Bungalow Diner in Colchester.
They said: “We have been so moved by his story that we want to help.”
Each biker taking part is asked for a £5 donation.
If you can’t make the run but would like to donate visit Eli’s page
