A charity dog fun run is taking place at the Elveden Estate in July to raise money for charity.

It is being organised by Explore 4 x 4 with funds going to Our Special Friends, a charity that fills a gap in community care by providing a range of free support services to help those in need to continue to benefit from contact with animals during illness, bereavement and other difficult times in their lives.

It is provided through volunteers and by working in partnership with human health and social care, as well as vets and animal charities. It operates in the West Suffolk and Thetford area, but has plans to expand geographically as funding allows.

The all day event, due to be held on July 1, features a 5K woodland fun run or walk, along with optional obstacles for dogs.

Registration begins at 10am and set off will commence between 11am and 1pm.

Tickets for one dog owner and one dog is £15 with additional owners £10, additional dogs £5 or a family ticket for two adults and two dogs £40.
