Suffolk primary school pupils refused to let the snow get in the way of fancy dress celebrations of their favourite books.
Charsfield Primary School, like many across the region, had planned to mark World Book Day on Thursday, March 1.
However, the snowy weather that week meant the celebrations had to be put on hold for a week.
Undeterred, pupils and staff held their own World Book Day celebrations on Thursday, March 8, once the snow had subsided.
A school spokesman said: “We had a whole day of World Book Day events, where the staff shared their favourite books with small groups of children.”
Pupils dressed as some of their favourite characters including superheroes, soldiers, skeletons and more.
World Book Day has been designated by UNESCO as a worldwide celebration of books and reading, which takes place each year in more than 100 countries.
