Police are appealing for witnesses following a road collision in Baddow Road, Chelmsford, where an elderly driver was seriously injured.
It happened at 10.10am on Monday, October 21. A silver Ford Fiesta was in collision with a parked white Mercedes A Class car. The driver of the Fiesta, who is 79 and from Chelmsford, was taken to Broomfield Hospital by ambulance.
He suffered serious leg injuries and is still in hospital. The road was closed until 2pm whilst the vehicles were recovered.
Officers are investigating the circumstances leading up to the collision. Any witnesses are asked to call Pc Natacha Hasler at the Serious Collision Investigation Unit on Essex Police 101 or email collisionappeal@essex.pnn.police.uk.
