The top of a double-decker bus has been taken off after it collided with a railway bridge in Chelmsford.
A spokeswoman for Essex Police said they were called at 4.25pm about the accident in Duke Street.
She said only the driver was on board at the time and he suffered no injuries.
A fire engine from Chelmsford and one from Baddow were called to the scene, but crews took no action and left at 4.44pm.
Essex Police will be speaking to the bus driver.
