A 39-year-old man from Chelmsford and a 47-year-old man from Grays have been arrested on suspicion of the offence after a man was assaulted inside a property in Murchison Close yesterday.
A 36-year-old woman from Chelmsford has been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to murder.
All are currently in custody.
