SPECIALIST firefighters were dealing with a chemical spill at a Suffolk hospital tonight.
They were called to the Nuffield Hospital in St Mary's Square, Bury St Edmunds, shortly after 9pm, where it was believed sodium bisulfite had been spilled in a plant room.
No patients were evacuated, but a number of crews were still at the scene at midnight.
