A PAEDOPHILE airman who went on the run after fleeing a Suffolk military base has been seen in Brandon.

Airman Basic Jeremy Parrott, 29, was serving a three-year jail term for child pornography offences and was attending a medical appointment at RAF Lakenheath's base hospital last Wednesday when he fled.

He was convicted in July this year.

He has now been spotted in Brandon. Officials from the base say he was seen on Friday night wearing a black or dark blue American-style baseball hat, a dark blue or grey light jacket or “hoodie” style top, blue jeans and white shoes.

Parrott is thought to be on foot and without ready access to means of subsistence which may force him to look for alternate means of food, clothing and shelter and to possibly seek assistance, including transportation.

A spokesman for the base said: “This sighting confirmed Parrott's continued presence in the local area into the weekend since his escape from custody last week.

“The Air Force Office of Special Investigations continues to work this and all leads closely with Suffolk and Norfolk Constabularies and Ministry of Defence Police.

“The public in the East Anglia area are asked to remain on the look-out for Parrott and immediately report any sightings. Although he is not considered violent or dangerous, do not try to apprehend Airman Parrott.”

Anybody who sees Parrott should contact the police or the 48th Security Forces Control room on 01638 522333.
