But 20 years on and the popular celebrity was too slow to avoid being given a “parking ticket” when he visited Clacton as part of Street Athletics 2009

Kay Roberts was the traffic warden who managed to catch the one-time sprint king and jokingly slapped him with his fine.

Christie was in Clacton on Thursday to promote Street Athletics, an event which encourages youngsters to make the most of their potential in life, both in and out of sports.
