A petrol station shop in Capel St Mary was broken into in the early hours of this morning.

Police officers were called at 3.50am to the petrol station in London Road, after the intruder alarm was triggered.

Staff members and officers at the scene found a door had been forced open and the cigarette cabinet had been broken to.

Officers confirmed that some cigarettes had been stolen.
