Clacton: Appeal for information following Boxing Day burglary

THIEVES have stolen alcohol, jewellery and a large flat-screen television from a home in Clacton on Boxing Day.

They forced their way in through a window at the bungalow in Bright Close between 2pm and 10pm on Wednesday.

Investigating Officer Dc Lee Winfield said: “Whoever carried out this burglary would have caught the attention of any passers-by as the carrying of a large-screen television down the street during the daytime is not a common sight.

“We would urge these passers-by to contact us as they are key witnesses and could help us identify who carried out this break-in.”

A forensic examination of the property was conducted, with house-to-house enquiries also carried out.
