A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of the murder of a Clacton teenager in Colchester last year.

Jay Whiston was stabbed at a house party on Marlowe Way shortly after 10pm on Saturday, September 8, 2012.

The 17-year-old from Aster Close died a short time later in hospital. A provisional post-mortem examination result showed that he died from a stab wound.

A police spokesman said that an 18-year-old man had today been re-arrested on suspicion of Jay Whiston’s murder and was currently being questioned by detectives at a police station in north Essex.

Six other people remain on police bail until May 22 after having been arrested in connection with the murder investigation.
