THE father of a boy assaulted during a street robbery has put up a cash reward.

The attack happened when a 17-year-old was walking along Oxford Road just after 11pm on November 23.

He was approached by two young men at the junction of Seven Road where he was thrown against a garden wall and verbally threatened.

He was then thrown against a car and punched in the head before his mobile phone was stolen.

The boy’s dad, Ian Bull, said: “I am putting up a �350 reward for anyone who contacts the police with information which leads to the arrest and conviction for the two people that committed this crime against my son.”

One thief was white, around 5ft 10ins tall, of skinny build and was wearing a black patterned biker’s scarf across his face and a beanie hat.

The second man was white, of large build, over 6ft tall and was wearing a black hoodie.

Both are believed to be in their late teens and walked off towards a nearby car and drove off towards the Co-op in Oxford Road.

Investigating officer Pc Julie Cosson, said: “We’re looking to speak with anyone who witnessed this robbery last Friday night.

“Thankfully, the victim didn’t require any medical treatment after being assaulted.”
